Tej Poudel
A Journey From Humble Beginning To Triumph
Born in an underprivileged village in Syangja, Nepal, Tej Poudel (Binod) faced hardships right from the start. The challenges of growing up in a family grappling with poverty were compounded when he tragically lost his father at the age of two. With five mouths to feed and no steady income or property, his brave mother soldiered on, providing for and raising Tej and his four siblings against all odds.
Despite the struggles, Tej persevered, completing his college education in Nepal. Dreaming of brighter prospects, he moved to the USA, where he began carving a niche for himself in the tech industry. Today, with eight years of experience, he serves as an Information Security Manager in a renowned software company, having previously contributed as a software engineer in various esteemed organizations in the USA.
On the entrepreneurial front, Tej founded SoftUp, a digital transformation entity. SoftUp stands as a testament to his vision and dedication, offering a broad spectrum of services, from IT operations to information security. SoftUp, along with its ventures Astrochats and The Job Hill, aims to bridge technological gaps for businesses, tailoring solutions to unique needs.
Outside of his professional commitments, Tej’s passion for community service shines brightly. Presently, he plays an active role as the Youth Coordinator of NRNA NCC USA. His tenure as Member Secretary of the NRNA Youth Task Force from 2019 to 2021 underscored his dedication to uplifting the Nepali youth. Additionally, he has been affiliated with the Nepalese Public Relations Committee and holds membership with the Federation of Nepali Journalists and NEJA. With the Youth Congress America, he continues to serve diligently as their secretary.
At the heart of all his endeavors, be it professional achievements or community service, Tej’s primary objective remains constant – to uplift and assist those in need. His journey, marked by determination and resilience, continues to inspire many, painting a story of hope and relentless pursuit of dreams.
हामीसँग ठूला सपना छैनन् । बस, बिना रोकावट आफ्नो मातृभुमी टेक्न पाइयोस, मातृभूमीको माटो छुँदा कसैको अनुमती लिन नपरोस, र नेपालको हरेक प्रगतीमा बिदेशको बगाएको पसिनाको केहि अंश भए पनि मिसाउन पाइयोस । एनआरएनए, विश्वभरी छरिएर रहेका हरेक नेपालीहरुको एक पेट खाना, एक ओठ हाँसो र एक ओछ्यान निद्रोको साझेदारी संस्था हुन सकोस भन्ने मेरो सपना हो ।
